The concept vehicle in the animation is a human-electric hybrid. You power the generator and the electric motor drives the vehicle. You can also drive it as an electric vehicle if you don’t want to or are unable to pedal your self.
This is my entry in the Innovate or Die contest http://www.innovate-or-die.com/ with just a couple of changes made. It took me about 40 hours non-stop to do this animation and I registered 8 minutes before the deadline. 
I did the whole narration voice with Expressivo software. Worked really well, except a couple of words like ‘gigawatts’. My guess is that most people will not even notice it’s a synthesized voice.
