VW has come a long … VW has come a long way to be where they at right now. I have heard AUDI/VW engines just blow up for no reason and other technical difficulties..but that’s million years ago. VW/AUDI is now considered a high quality car maker company specially with their uncomparable diesel line ups.
I swear it seems as … I swear it seems as if MT has beef against BMW..
The X5 here is criticized as being too simple, not enough ‘high tech.’ Yet the new 7 series is loaded with technology, but was reviewed badly as being overly complicated. Seems like BMW can’t win.
I will say that the new 2010 X5 35D’s i-Drive system is great and a huge improvement over the one it replaces.

I agree with you.. … I agree with you.. we need to convert most Americans’ mindset toward using Diesels instead of using Hybrids yuck!, just like what the Europeans do for almost a decade…. Diesel provides very high torque and grunt, really suit Highway driving, which is something that most Americans do, daily…..
This test is … This test is completely outdated. BMW updated their Idrive system recently, and VW toureag is just a POS waiting to fall apart.
I think Mercedes GL diesel is the best, if you’ve got to haul lot of things around. Next is X5 diesel, and VW toureag is probably last. Hybrids- big NO
