Are Hybrid SUVs worth the extra cost?

A Toyota Hylander hybrid vs. non-hybrid, for example.

No, but I’d still rather spend more on a vehicle than give Exxon and its cronies even higher outrageous profits.

Depends on how much you drive, if the majority of your driving is in stop and go traffic, and how long you will keep your vehicle, I think they are worth it, the price of gas is going nowhere but up.
And remember by buying a vehicle with this technology you are encouraging and directly supporting future technology and innovation.

That would depend on how many miles you plan to drive the car and how long you plan on keeping it.

Weigh the difference in gas mileage and the increased cost of purchase. That should tell you how many miles you’ll have to drive to break even.

    good luck

I will go for the hybrid.
    1)it is more efficient,
2)Gives more power for the same power,
    3)and it causes less pollution.
    4)best fuel efficeny
    5)more intelligent than normal cars.
