Hyundai Genesis.
Don't even worry about it being a hyundai, it's the sickest car ever
imagine a mercedes with 1/2 the price and nicer.
At least google it
References :
I own one

Try a Mercury Grand Marquis or Marauder they are full size, have great visibility, and are cheap on insurance and are very quick for the size of the car. These cars are easy to find and they are comfortable for long trips. Also if you were to get into an accident in this kind of car, you are going win and easily walk away, compared to a small car.
References :
ok fast, high car that is a four door.

if you want Japanese:

Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart is a good mix of fast and comfortable, if you go with this make sure you get the recaro seat the other ones arent as good.

Pretty much any Subaru will provide you with the good visibility if you want speed you want an Imprezza WRX (if your really serious a WRX STI)

not a fan of Toyota, lame cars

Nissan all lame except the Z cars (350Z or 370Z) and the GT-R but they wont give you the height you are looking for

Dont like Mazda, Honda, Acura, or Lexus, although Lexus will give you what you are looking for (speed and decent ride height)

American cars
Pretty much any Cadillac can give you what you want. but the v8 in the STS is $hit, it is only like 20 hp more then the v6

Chrysler any R/T or SRT car will give you all the straight line speed you want but chrysler cars at the moment i would not really recommend for you they are huge with not so great viability and their engines are a little nomadic, little power from huge engine

Ford is kickin ass right now the fusion is pretty cool, and if you really want speed the Taurus SHO is worth a look, the mustang is pretty cool but the power really isnt where it could be for a muscle car (unless you get the shelby), but that is going to change in the next year or two.

European:

Audi kicks ass they are all pretty fast and are dam sexy

Porsche likely to be out of your price range for a real one, 911, the rest, (boxter and cayman and cayanne) are poser cars and should not be sold. the panamera is basically a 4 door 911 and is kinda ugly but has the speed.

BMW i think they are over rated

Mercedes are over rated they and are huge pieces of $hit that have too many safety features and the fast ones (AMG tuned) have more power then they can use and you will blow your tires off every time you go to the supermarket.

Volvo is stepping up but still have the stigma of the "Swedish car snob" lol but actually are pretty good cars but they are kinda ugly. not too fast either tho because their main focus is safety

Saabs are pretty cool and have decent power, and if you care are really good for the environment, in my opinion they are better then the f*ckin Prius for the environment but once again have the Swedish car snob stigma

VW: get the Golf GTI it is pretty fast, and is available in a 4 door hatchback. the GLI is pretty fast too but not as cool as the GTI. and do not get the Toureg it is a big piece of $hit

Jags are pretty cool too and pretty fast worth a look.

ok there is a pretty long list for you ps most of this is my opinion in case you couldnt tell
References :
Well I'd recommend the Ford Five Hundred. The visibility is really good and although it only has a 260hp 3.5 liter V6, the 6 speed and All Wheel Drive help it along real well. That's a reasonable car. Otherwise something like the new BMW 1 series or 3 series as usual. The 3.0L twin turbo 6 cylinders put out 300 horses and the three series also comes in all wheel drive if you think you'd need it. I could name many more so if you want more email me lol.
References :
My own experience.

Test drive the following and decide... Dodge Charger, Nissan Maxima SE, Toyota Camry SE, Volvo S80 V8, Audi A6 V8, BMW 540i, Infinity M45, Lexus LS460... These have four doors, excellent visibility, and very fast engines.
