What are 3 good reasons why I should buy a Hybrid car??

I am trying to buy a hybrid car, but I want to make sure I am making a good decision. Give me 3 facts (reasons) why I should buy a hybrid car. Thanx!

1 better mpg, 2 lower emissions (nicer to environment) and 3, improving the tech for the next generation 4 less fuel usage less oil dependence 5 more Gas for all them SUV’s… on the neg, only the dealers for the most part will be able to work on it…then again the diesel cars are pretty low emission, and get nearly the same mpg… and any one can work on them for the most part….hybrid, good for city, diesel good for road trip, not so good for city.

I don’t think they’re worth it. The difference in fuel economy between something like a Corolla and a Prius is not nearly enough to justify the price premium you have to pay to get a Prius.

Save the environment then it the environment will help u not to be so hot on u in the summer.
Then Your family and generations will live on instead of suffering from a nature disaster.
You will save money for your car.
More mileage and when you have no more fuel you dont need to be stuck on the road pushing your car while you use your electric moter to run your car to the gas station…

The biggest reason why I bought a Prius was because it costs LESS to maintain than a regular car:

    - Prius uses regenerative braking. It does not need a brake job until 100,000 miles. Try that in a regular car and see what happens.

    - Prius uses a Power Split Device transmission, which only has 22 moving parts. Single gearset, no gear-shifting wear-and-tear of a regular car. It has no clutch, no torque converter, no CVT friction belts to go bad.

    - Prius has no starter, alternator or timing belt to go bad.

    - And before the inevitable idiot says the battery is expensive to replace, the Prius has an 8-year / 100,000-mile warranty on the battery. If it dies before then (virtually unheard-of), Toyota replaces it for me free.

The other reason why I bought it is because it’s surprisingly big. It has about the same interior volume as a Camry and the EPA classifies it as a midsized-car. (Yes, the old-model Prius before 2004 are the subcompact ones that are smaller than a Corolla.)

The gas savings almost as an afterthought, but yeah you can consider that a reason.

There’s my three reasons. Hope this helps.

There is no good reason to get a hybrid other then to make a social statement. The extra cost of a hybrid is never made up in fuel cost savings.

    1. Saves the environment: Hybrids like Toyota have MPG ratings of 35 MPG or more, which is important if you want you or your kids to….live?
    2. Saves you cash: A Toyota Prius starts at $21,000, while an Acura TL starts at approximately $30,000.
    3. Ends the foreign oil dependency: Want the war in Iraq to end? Buy a hybrid, because the war there is all about oil, and nothing else.

There are no reason why you should get one.

People who say this is enviromentally friendly are not educated about the real deal of hybrid cars. They are the most polluted cars on the planet.

Just assembling a hybrid car creates more emissions than assembling a Hummer and driving one for 100,000 miles. Why? Because making the many batteries and the process. Just one battery has to make 4 trips to different countries.

Plus, you have to drive 20 years just to actually save money on fuel. 10 for a diesel.

Apart from getting a new tax incentive in the US I find no good reason to buy a hybrid.
The belief that ifs more "greener" is over hyped.
Batteries and parts also put a dent in your wallet.

Do the research and read more about it.
Its better for you to buy a single-motor, smaller car that is fuel-efficient.

Experts believe that hybrids are just transition technology.
I’ll just wait for a Hydrogen or methane fuel cell powered car.

I guess you should also check the insurance quotes for hybrid cars before buying one, for example here: http://autoinsurance.bebto.com
As I know hybrids are more expensive to insure.
