What is the difference from the braking of a regular car and a braking of a hybrid?

I need to find some easy information on this question. I search through the internet and find something that’s like an answer but it is always described in large words or is drowning with other irrelevant information. Can someone help me?

regular braking just generates heat in the brake pads. in a hybrid, the motor becomes a generator
and the energy flows back into the battery
