the outside isn’t … the outside isn’t as jazzed up, but they do have the best looking symbol. it’s the cheapest of the three for the same car, but most likely because they didn’t redesign the outside of the car much, just refine it’s look.
Thank you! What … Thank you! What the major auto companies aren’t willing to do the new upstarts like Phoenix Motorcars and Tesla will do – produce and sell zero emissions electric vehicles.
Get your facts … Get your facts straight. TRW held the original patents to the PowerSplit HEV confioguration in the mid 70’s. Those patents have long since expired. Ford designed and engineered their own system. They hold over 400 patents on the technology. You dumb asses!
Well said! Hybrid … Well said! Hybrid vehicles, at best, are just a token effort. The oil industry will never allow real electric vehicles, hence the scrapping of the EV1 and Chevron buying the rights to the nickel metal hydryde batteries so Toyota and Honda couldn’t continue with their electic SUV’s. Screw the oil companies! I’ll keep experimenting with HHO units thanks.
No. Toyota gave … No. Toyota gave Ford their Hybrid system, and Ford is using it in their Ford Escape, the Mercury Mariner, and the Mazda Tribute. They are all the same vehicles, just rebadged.
They need to … They need to regulate the industry, and make the naming correct. This is at best a “hybrid drive train vehicle” because it doesn’t use hybrid power, it gets all the power from gasoline. And they are trying to make it some big deal by calling it a “hybrid electric vehicle,” instead of “hybrid gasoline vehicle” which would be much more appropriate.
It’s really a nice … It’s really a nice car, should help cut emissions, but still not as good as a pure compressed air engine. (Do a google) I’ll stick with electric for now.
It’s not an … It’s not an electric car. It’s got a gas engine in it that needs oil changes and servicing and spare parts and fuel. Buy it and you’re still chained to the oil industry and the reason behind the Iraq invasion.
No thanks, I’ll have a pure Electric!
