Where does a 40 year old man like myself go to find nice women (35-45) who like outdoor activities or just enjoying the outdoors?
I just got a brand new aluminum hybrid bike, (as well as a brand new Porsche), but I’ve got nobody to go out for a ride with.
Where does an old guy like me find a lady who’s not a couch potatoe these days?
- Nothing too strenuous, just a slow ride through a park, or canoeing down a local river, or sailing on the lake, or spending a day walking around at a local beach, that’s all I want but it seems to be an impossible quest !
- Someone who is not selfish, angry, and only thinks about herself and doesn’t give a crapy about anyone else?
- Yesterday I stopped on the highway to help a senior lady change her flat tire on her minivan. She liked my car and was very sweet. But she was around 70, not 40 like myself
- Everywhere I go, the women in my age group tend to be angry / lazy. WHY?
- It seems as if quality women are really difficult to find.
I am 39 and I am definately not mean, cruel or selfish…..quite the oppposite. I can be a bit lazy though but with the right motivation I can also get out there and enjoy the outdoors. But, I’m from Australia and am already married…..sorry! Try placing an add one one of those singles sites like www.rsvp.com and I’m sure you’ll find some nice women you can meet up with. Good luck cause there are still some nice ones left out there!

Believe it or not, my SUV is not roomy at all. Factor in 2 carseats and the driver’s legroom is affected. I really want to get a minivan, but is this overkill for only 2 kids? And before the environmental folks get their dander up, the minivan would get better mileage than what I drive now, and our other car is a hybrid.
Is anyone driving something small and not hating it?
i have an 04 dodge intrepid and my husband drives an 05 ford f150 with four doors.
the car is roomy enough if i am not going to buy a ton of groceries. the trunk is huge so it fits the double stroller and the kids fit fine in the backseat, and the driver seat is more comfortable for me than the trucks.
the truck is cool bc it fits the stroller and just about anything in the bed. there are four doors so i can just open them up and throw the kids in their seats. no bending. the front seat is uncomfortable though, and i feel like i am up on top of the world for everyone to stare at.lol
i really wanted a mini van but we like 4wheel driving on weekends so the truck is perfect for that. i will get my minivan after we pay off the truck though. lol

Old video. Decal I bought on ebay for $2. Gets the point across, hybrids are a joke. I don’t give two about your opinion on hybrids, so don’t leave any queer comments, ’cause I’ll just take them off and laugh.

Most persuasive / in depth answer gets the best answer
Im looking to spend about 40,000
Not a minivan
It must be at least a 5 seater
i’m enviormently consencoius so mileage is important I would consider a hybrid
I already have a honda but ill by another brand if you can convince me
Saftey is extremely important
Do outhink I should buy american why
Thanks guys good luck best one wins
40,000 is the limit im willing to spend upt 40K
First of all, you don’t need to spend $40G
Nor, in the case of a Hybrid, should you go pre-owned, because only the FIRST owner of a Hybrid will be able to take advantage of federal & state tax incentives.
Click on the link below for a side by side comparison that I’ve compiled for you.
http://www.fordvehicles.com/suvs/Escape/compare/details/?vehicles=19019|20184|20665|19297
I highly recommend the Hybrid Escape or (it’s sister) Mercury Mariner.
Now, as far as the gas mileage ratings….well…they’re compiled by the government & …..well I’ll give you my own personal experience:
4X4 Escape my combined average (city & hgwy) 28 MPG (one week test drive & I drove it like I just stole it)
The following week I did EXACTLY the same type of test with a Honda Accord Hybrid…..result..15.8 MPG
The reason for the big difference in gas mileage is (for one) the Ford is a "full" Hybrid while the Accord is a "mild" Hybrid.
All Hybrids are not huge gas savers and there are several types of "hybrid" technology. For more info on this subject, you need to go to http://hybridcars.com >technology>types of systems>terms
Now here’s the link for this vehicles safety ratings:
http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/testing/ncap/index2.cfm?myYear=2007&myMake=Ford&myModel=Escape%20Hybrid
The safety ratings on this vehicle are great…..even though…
This test was done WITHOUT the optional side impact air curtain/canopy!!!…..I would opt up for that, if I were you since safety is extremely important to you .
I included the Lexus in the 1st (link) comparison for you only because another answerer suggested it….& because Lexus has been rated #1 for reliability for 11 straight years ( according to J.D. Powers Study (I’m gonna cut & paste one of my previous answers for those results), But I also included the Mercury Mariner ..because Mercury is rated #2
My prev. "Best" answer:
*****************************************************************
Since you ask specifically for reliability , may i refer you to the most recent J.D. Power & assoc. study, rather than each individual "Yamster" opinion ?
The most recentl study was of 2003 vehicles that had been on the road for 3 years. This study lists 37 manufacturers in order of the least problems to the most problems .
I’ll list in their order:
1 Lexus
2 mercury
3 buick
4 cadillac
5 toyota
6 acura
7 honda
8 jaguar
9 bmw
10 infinity
11 lincoln
12 ford
13 oldsmobile
<<<<<<<<<<industry average
14 chrysler
15pontiac
16 subaru
17 gmc
18 mercedes-benz
19 chevrolet
20 nissan
21 mazda
22 porsche
23 hyandai
24 dodge
25 mitsubishi
26 jeep
27 volvo
28 audi
29 mini
30 isuzu
31 saturn
32 volkswagon
33 hummer
>>>>>>>>>>>>not reliable
34 kia
35 suzuki
36 saab
37 land rover
***********************end cut & paste***************************
SORRY THIS IS SO LONG …BUT YOU ASKED FOR IN DEPTH
************
Now as for buying Amercan ? Let’s not EVEN get me started on that ! I’ll be typing all night!!!!!
(but take a look at the top 6 on the above list…50% American!)

~Sam and Rio have two cars: A sedan that gets 30mpg and a minivan that gets 18 mpg.
In July 2008, when gas cost $4.00 a gallon, they started to consider replacing one of their vehicles:
1. the sedan with a hybrid car that gets 50mpg
2. the minivan with a station wagon that gets 28 mpg.
If they drive each car 100 miles every week, calculate the savings in gas costs for each of the options. Which option is better?
— Please help me with this problem. Please show me how you got the answer with a step by step procedure.
**10 points to the person who is accurate.
Original Sedan- 100/30 = 3.33 (gallons consumed for 100 miles.
$4.00×3.33gallons = $13.33 per week
Hybrid Sedan – 100/50 = 2 (gallons consumed)
$4.00×2 = $8.00 per week
Subtract the new car fuel cost from the original car fuel cost:
$13.33-$8.00 = $5.33 savings per week
You figure out the van savings the same way. divide 100 miles by the miles per gallon, this gives you gallons consumed. Multiply gallons consumed by $4.00. Do this for both vans and subtract the same way to calculate savings.
obviously the one with the greater savings is the best option
Good Luck
